The Alexander Hamilton Institute for the Study of Western Civilization (AHI) congratulates filmmaker Gloria Z. Greenfield of Doc Emet Productions for the award bestowed on her latest movie The Fight of Our Lives— Defeating the Ideological War against the West at the 51st Annual Worldfest-Houston International Independent Film Festival.  The documentary premiered on February 19 at the Broad Theater in Santa Monica, California.  AHI Executive Director Robert Paquette and AHI board member Stephen Balch make appearances in the film.

The movie “traces the penetration of anti-Western ideas and movements into academia, politics, and society.”  In producing the film, Ms. Greenfield conversed with more than thirty scholars, asking them for their views on the state of higher education and about their concerns for the future of Western culture.  In an interview published in the Broward-County Sun-Sentinel Greenfield expressed her hope that “this film connects the dots so we can be aware of the dangers of what it would be like to live in an environment that doesn’t ensure freedom of speech. Everything we learn from those interviewed forms a symphony of expertise that I hope will inspire deep conversations on campuses, at dining-room tables and in the public square.”

“Gloria Greenfield has created a powerful and stunning documentary that focuses light on the step by step process by which allegedly elite colleges and universities have betrayed the Western ethos of liberal education,” Paquette observed.  “She possesses a rare combination of gifts:  intelligence, high-energy, and a warrior’s mentality.  She knows the magnitude of what is at stake. AHI is proud to call her friend and is honored to be a part of this must-see film.”
