The election debate was the first of two between Oneida County Assistant District Attorney Robert Bauer and private attorney Michael Arcuri who discussed their qualifications, experience and positions on a variety of issues raised. The debate was extremely well attended and questions ranged from ethical dilemmas the candidates have faced to their passion for their current jobs.

The candidates are vying for a position currently held by Judge Barry M. Donalty, who faces mandatory retirement in December.

AHI Fellow Chris Hill earned his Ph.D. from The University of Texas at Austin in 2008 and has advanced degrees in both medieval and modern European history. He is currently researching the history of the concept of liberty as a Bakwin Fellow at the AHI.
