David Nichols, Associate Professor of History at Baylor University and an AHI Senior Fellow, will speak on Constitution Day, Wednesday, 17 September, as an invited guest of Skidmore College in Saratoga, New York.

Professor Nichols has authored and edited several books on American political history, including The Myth of the Modern Presidency (1994). His lecture, “Forgotten Founders at the Constitutional Convention,” will take place at 5:30 p.m. in the Pohndorff Room of the Scribner Library.

Professor Nichols and his wife Mary, Professor and Chairman of the Department of Political Science at Baylor University (also an AHI Senior Fellow), are currently engaged with the founders of the AHI in the creation of an ambitious summer seminar for graduate students to be held at the AHI’s headquarters during the summer of 2009.
