The Federalist Papers have stood the test of time as a brilliant work of history, social science, and political philosophy. AHI’s Publius Society honors the genius of Hamilton, Jay, and Madison with monthly discussions among a diverse group of students, faculty, and citizens in which current issues are placed in the context of the great traditions of the American republicanism. Recent discussions have included the state of American federalism, campaign finance and the First Amendment, the constitutionality of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, and the future of liberalism and conservatism.

The pseudonym for the Federalist Papers and the name of our society come from Publius Valerius Publicola, who helped establish the Roman Republic. For further information, please contact us at (315) 292-2267.
