The Alexander Hamilton Institute for the Study of Western Civilization is pleased to announce that Jeff Fynn-Paul will deliver the Fifth Annual Columbus Day Lecture. The lecture will be available on AHI’s website October 9 at 7:00 p.m.

Dr. Jeff Fynn-Paul

Dr. Fynn-Paul teaches at the Institute for History, Universiteit Leiden, the Netherlands.   His publications include War, Entrepreneurs and the State in Europe and the Mediterranean, 1300-1800 (2014); Slaving Zones: Cultural Identities, Ideologies, and Institutions in the Evolution of Global Slavery, (co-edited with Damian Alan Pargas, 2017); Family, Work and Household in Late Medieval Iberia:  A Social History of Manresa at the Time of the Black Death (2018); and “The Myth of the Stolen Country,” The Spectator (2020).
