The Alexander Hamilton Institute for the Study of Western Civilization (AHI) is pleased to announce that former undergraduate fellow Timothy Minella has joined the Goldwater Institute as a Senior Constitutionalism Fellow. The Goldwater Institute is an Arizona-based public policy and litigation organization that fights to defend and advance constitutional principles in all fifty states. Dr. Minella is working at Goldwater’s Van Sittert Center for Constitutional Advocacy.

Currently, Dr. Minella is focusing on promoting constitutional principles in education through research, writing, and advocacy. He is working on various issues in education, including school choice; curricular reform; civics education; and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives (DEI).

Dr. Minella’s recent publications include the Goldwater Institute report Do Journalism Students Need a Course on Nonbinary Pop Stars?, The Next Front in the Fight to Dismantle DEI on Campus for the James G. Martin Center, and Long Beach Unified School District pays kids $1,400 to become leftist agitators for the Orange County Register.

Before joining Goldwater, Timothy served on the faculty of the Lewis Honors College at the University of Kentucky. He has also taught at Emory University and Villanova University. He has published works on American history, the history of science, and the history of education. Timothy earned his Ph.D. in history from the University of South Carolina.
